Preserving the States
2005 February 14
My father just told me that, after I was born in Mexico, my parents sojourned forth towards the States once again. The United States, however, didn’t want to let me in – I found this story immensely amusing, given I was three months old at the time.
The story gets less amusing when my father concludes with "The person who had to issue your papers had already gone home for the day."
I liked it better when I was a possibly renegade baby who was a threat to the United States.
My little brother added "I’m sorry, but we don’t let bitch babies into the States."
