Not Immune
I think I’m getting sick again, and to this I say "ugh." I exercise, eat right, get plenty of sleep, drink lots of fluids, inundate myself with vitamin C, wash my hands (especiall after going to work, as this is where the germs party, dudes) and try not to stress out all that much. What does that get me? A scratchy throat, sniffles and the tired feeling you get before your body is ravaged by sickness. I am so goddamn sick of being sick – if this hits full force, that’ll be three times in less than six months. WTF? I am not amused in the least, I tell you – I do not appreciate having to drown down copious amounts of green tea because I do not like green tea. I can only place the blame squarely on work: All I have to do is go in one day and I’m stuck with a potential cold. If they, you know, cleaned and didn’t keep dogs there and didn’t smoke, maybe it’d be a healthy environment to which I could be exposed safely. Even in college I was never this sickly; hell, I’ve never been this sickly. What’s the common denominator in all of this? The office. The dirty, dirty office.
Seriously, if they cared about our health, they’d have the office thoroughly cleaned and stop with the smoking and stop bringing in the dogs.
I feel like I should go in next time in a goddamn chemical protection suit.
Go to hell, office.
