It’s supposed to rain on and off all day. And it’s cold. And it’s supposed to snow tonight into tomorrow.
I hate you, Michigan. This was my Dominick’s night, damnit!

Oh, that really sucks! I was going to call you last night but didn’t because I remembered you were starting work early this morning so you could get over to Dominick’s. Then I remembered you said it was supposed to snow Friday night and I was wondering about this.
So are you guys going to go elsewhere now?
Hey, I was going to call you last night, too, but remembered you were going to lift weights. I didn’t want to interrupt your workout. :) We’re going to try to see if we can get an indoor table at Dominick’s – if not, we’ll probably just go to Ashley’s. They want to go to the wings place on State. It’ll still be fun, but not as nice as a sunny day at Dominick’s.
The positive is that my plans with L for Saturday fell through, so I won’t have to drive to Lansing in the snow (if it falls). Lazy day on Saturday, I guess!
You mean Buffalo Wild Wings? You ought to go and read up about it on AAIO. (ha-ha) I don’t think you’ll have trouble getting an inside table at Dominick’s, especially if you show up before 5. But who knows? Maybe everyone wants to get to Dominick’s rain or shine. (I doubt it. I would guess Charley’s and Ashley’s will be packed by around 5, though.)
Fortunately, it’s still really early in the year and you guys still have the whole summer (the real summer) to enjoy outings to D’s. Plus, in a week or two, no kiddies either.
I finished my workout around 7:45 my time and figured that was too late to call given that you wanted to start work at 7 this morning. I also had to make dinner.
My bike already shipped and is supposed to be here on Tuesday. I can tell you there is going to be one pissed-off Fed Ex guy on Tuesday, when he’s got to carry a huge 80 lb. box up to my apartment. But I don’t care. I’d gladly help him if I’m around when he comes (which never happens).
I saw the stuff on the wings place on AAIO a while back; I’m not exactly thrilled to be going, but when I made fun of it once, two of my friends got really defensive about the place. Ah, well. We’ll see where we end up, but it’ll be nice to just get out of the house.
I actually didn’t start work any later than usual (7:30am this whole week); I guess the forecast discouraged me. I thought about calling, but I figured that the workout and dinner might make it a late night. Well, unless we really tick each other off, we’ll talk soon. ;)
You won’t have had to wait long for your new bike; that’s pretty cool. Well, it won’t be a joy to life 80 lbs. worth of bike, but what can you do?
Well, you never know. Buffalo Wild Wings may be good. I doubt the people at AAIO had ever been there either – I think they were just ragging on it because it was yet another chain popping up in downtown AA, and because it seemed so wildly popular.
Yeah well, lugging heavy boxes is what they pay the Fed Ex guy for, so hopefully he’ll deal. Honestly, he could use a hand truck to get it up the steps if he needs to.
Have a good time tonight wherever you end up!
I remember that the people at AAIO were making fun of the blog that extolled the virtues of chain stores and restaurants. They left some comments on that blog – I don’t think those business students ever posted on their blog again. :P
I’ll have a good time – I certainly hope we get better Dominick’s weather when you’re here. :)
