Tighten the Noose, Don’t Add Money
Er, ack! I was just assigned yet another series on which to work. It wouldn’t be so bad if I didn’t already have three other series on my plate. Three other series that last two to three hours each. And this was supposed be my boss’ series, too. That ticks me off – he does absolutely nothing at times. Not only that, but this series was taken away from me to give me another one. Why do I have it again? I told him, bluntly, that I thought I wasn’t in charge of this series this year. He told me he’d juggle it around between the other editors. He’d better. This is easy enough to do (I’ll finish by tomorrow), and I have a good relationship with the client, but still. My God, how busy will I be in July?
That is, if I’m there in July. My ultimate dream is to leave on July 4, when ALL the series decide to air concurrently for the rest of the month. Mwahahahahaha . . . I’m so evil. So, who’ll hire me for a hefty sum and spirit me away from my current job by July 4?
