On Exercise, a Bit
I was able to get to the gym today, doing two weight circuits before coming home right before my lunch ended. It was nice to get back to the weight lifting – running has been harder to get back into, I must admit. I’m feeling pretty sluggish when I run. Yesterday I ran three miles, quit, then forced myself back onto the treadmill for another two. I think I’ll be flopping into bed early tonight. I don’t think I’ve ever been this tired after a road trip, but the higher number of miles hiked, combined with the early mornings, have probably done a number on me. Oh, don’t forget the time change. I’m not complaining, though – I’m generously giving June up to the running gods and am going to start fresh when July rolls around next week. Meaning? If I miss another June run, that’s okay, but when July’s here, back to business.
And then, August 1? Training for the Nike Half-Marathon starts. Eep.
Okay, I’ve got nothing today. I should work on this assignment. At least I can listen to music as I work.
