My Knees Protest

And they protest because running 10 miles is always a challenge for me.  I’m trying to relax right now, but who can ever relax in today’s world?  I’m not try to be deep, actually, I’m just too lazy to write anything of interest.

At around 10:30am, I had nearly finished composing quite a long post to make up for my lack of witty commentary this past week (hah! you all shout).  However, as is TypePad’s wont, my post got gobbled up – my browser suddenly started to refresh (no, I didn’t hit the refresh button) and I hadn’t copied my post (which I usually do just in case some odd happens).  I wept bitterly, oh I did, to see my post gone in .30 seconds.  I do not have the energy to rewrite it all, so a brief recap:

1) NWA and NWA mechanics.  A mild rant, discussion of a contingency plan, not comfortable with the idea of crossing the picket line, but will do it if necessary.  Yes, it is all about me, me, me.

2) Musing on the half-marathon and the laments of a woman being hounded by her immediate family to visit her extended family while she is in San Francisco.  I asked "Why, why can’t my activities be performed independent of my family?"  Again, it is all about me, me, me.

3) A brief discussion (to be followed with a longer post) about an apology I received this week that was wholly unexpected.  It is an intrafamily deal, I didn’t bring it up lately, and it is a rather old situation.  However, the situation is one that made fat, 14-year-old me cry into her pillow after every encounter with a "family" friend.

4) A recognition of the simple fact: I whine too much.  And to tie it all up, my knees are joining in on the fun!
