Whatever
*This morning, the Express had a little article on Mesa Verde National Park. Sadly, the ranger who prophesized that I would be cold did not give a quote. He was, I can say, sort of right. A plus: I got to learn all about kivas once more.
*I have been contacting local ballet folkloricos to see if they offer classes (I know Georgetown does, but I, I am not a student). Watch me get my heel-stomping, skirt-twirling, eyelash-batting self in a good old Mexican traditional dance groove.
*The plan for today was to hit the Cheesecake Factory at lunch. This after a cocktails-and-appetizers event last night. Dyn-o-mite was definitely never this food fun. Tios? Wendy’s? Eight-month old meat (seriously)? Puh-leeze. However, thank God for work gyms and dance classes.
*I have purchased my ticket to see my sister graduate from the University of Michigan (well, sort of). NWA finally cooperated and gave me a ticket for $179. I’m giddy at the thought of seeing a Meijer. Oh, Meijer. How I miss thee! What’s that? Huh? Oh yeah! I’m giddy at the thought of seeing my family . . . yeah . . .
*I finally have something to put up on my walls. A new co-worker gave me a lovely piece to put up, and it goes wonderfully with my furniture and the painting my sister made oh so many years ago.
*It must be admitted that I am not in the best of moods today. The mood downturn was trigged sometime between 12:30 and 2:30pm yesterday, for reasons known to me (and no, it had nothing to do with work). So, I have comforted myself with drinks, food, and finally for tonight, vanilla bean cheesecake from the Cheesecake Factory. Part of it is the fact that I’m PMSing and, yes, I get to eat whatever the hell I want and feel whatever the hell I want right now.
*And that’s all she wrote, kids.
