I Was a Part of It

A longer race report to come, and Scorpie is diligently at work writing his own post about his New York impressions, but I just wanted to update (since the race was the day before yesterday). I did it! I ran 26.2 miles! I finished the ING New York City Marathon!
I cannot wait to tackle the next one.

A toast to S, our very own Pheidippides!
Well, not really, because he keeled over and died after his marathon, and you completed it successfully. Go, S! I’m glad you had fun and are looking forward to the next one :)
Well, I guess you could say Pheidippides completed it successfully–he just didn’t live to buy marathon finisher gear at the marathon store the next day. :D
Definitely looking forward to the next one(s): Chicago in ’07 and New York in ’08. I asked IP if my running a marathon had anything to do with the Democrats’ gains last night, but he said no. I say he can’t prove it! ;)
