Marine Corps, Here I Come

It is done. I’ve registered for the race, and so the summer will once again be spent building up endurance for another marathon.
Now, it’s time to sit and wait to see if New York lets me in for 2007. If they do, I’ll defer New York until 2008.
About 24 weeks to go, give or take . . .

Good luck training for your marathon!
I didn’t realize how popular the Marine Corps marathon was. Someone told me that the spaces go pretty fast?
Sunchaser: I think that last year the race filled up within three weeks, so it seems to go fast. I didn’t realize it was so popular, either–since it’s the week before New York and doesn’t give out prize money, I guess it doesn’t get elite attention and it’s overshadowed, but still—that’s fast.
