Acerbic Levels Still on Low
My thinly-veiled disgust at the ascension of the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim Anaheim Ducks as the Stanley Cup champion notwithstanding, the week has been anything but cheery and blasé and WordNerd mean. My last substantial post wasn’t full of mirth, and neither will this one.
I will keep this short, though. I don’t want to overdo it (since I am known to do that on here)—much like IP’s birthday post from a few years back, I’ll be succinct. Despite signs pointing towards mending, IP and I learned this week that his grandfather died. I’ve said it a million times in person, but I’ll say it once again here—I’m sorry, hon, and you know I’ll be there for you. IP has encouraged me to continue posting, be it my regular ridiculous blabber or a post about the past week, but I won’t do either in detail, at least not today. I just wanted to acknowledge that there’d been a loss in this little family that we’ve formed, us IP-WordNerd denizens. IP and I will be heading to be with his family this weekend, and posting again will be at a minimum (sorry, all two of you outside of the D.C. area, but I know you understand).

Thanks, honey. You’ve been great this week. Hopefully you’ll be able to return to your “regular ridiculous blabber” soon. ;)
I will return to the writing soon. :) But right now, I’ll continue to be great for you. :)
