Part of the In Crowd, Part II
There is much going on, and I struggle with the idea of having to document everything here, so I won’t. After this post, I promise myself and IP that I will get back to my woefully underappreciated irreverent wit.
The weekend was spent with IP’s family. We are both exhausted, and were glad that we were together throughout. If I was able to give him even just a little bit of strength, then I consider my presence there to be of importance. Even at a difficult time, though, IP’s family welcomed me with open arms.
Upon returning from the weekend, I was greeted with the news that the ING NYC Marathon had accepted me for the second year in a row, which made me smile—my marathons are set for 2007 and 2008 as I plan to defer the NYC entry. It’s amazing enough that I got in for 2006; being chosen for the lottery in 2007 was something I thought would not happen.
IP also received something that made him smile, too, but I’ll keep that under my hat for now. However, congrats and lots of luck, hon. :)
And now, I have another meeting to go to.
