		<description>Overall, the elliptical really has its pluses; maybe it&#039;s not *as* good as running, but you&#039;re able to do more and go longer because your perceived level of effort is lower, so you don&#039;t feel the workout as much (but you&#039;re still getting it).  I think elliptical and arc training are nice compliments to running--you train different leg muscles and it helps with imbalances you get from running.

I like running better than the machines, but only when it comes to outdoor running. :)</description>

		<description>I stick to the elliptical too, because when I used to run I&#039;d feel it in my knees the next day (though maybe I should give it another try - that was years ago and I get inspired now every time I go to a race). Minute-for-minute it&#039;s probably not as good as running (in terms of calories burned), but it&#039;s easier to do intervals and mix things up, which helps make up some of the difference.</description>
