Bright Light! Bright Light!

This morning, my older brother A and I went for a run outside. It was a very nice run considering it was 66 degrees, the sun was shining, and there’s nary a cloud in the sky. Sure, that one long stretch that’s utterly flat and has no shade is always a bit tough (the distance you can see is a bit disconcerting when you’re tired), but it was a very nice run overall. We chatted and joked as we ran, including when we encountered an old lady in front of us:

A: Let’s rob that old lady!

W: Nah, she probably doesn’t have much on her right now.

**Said old lady hurries across the street and into her driveway**

W: She’s just pretending that that’s her home. I bet she’s thinking, “Oh, let me seek safety because those dark-skinned youths are making me nervous!”

A: ::Chuckles::

This was my first run outside since the marathon—yep, it’s been that long. If only I could take this road back to DC with me (with no dogs on it, just like this morning), I’d be running outside all the time. And if the weather could follow me around all summer long, I’d be set!
