Decidedly Less Panicky
Thanks to our venue coordinator coming through with chair covers and, consequently, me firing the original chair cover lady who couldn’t be bothered to answer my emails until I told her I was no longer in need of her services. Let me tell you, it felt good to let her know she’d be getting no money from us. Bonus is that the venue chair covers are running us about the same in terms of price. Original chair cover lady wants to keep people’s business? Perhaps she should try good customer service and brush up on her communication skills. You can’t afford to be so blasé in this economy, I think. Pick up the pace, lady! Four weeks and no contract? Days until the wedding? Out with you.
Now we just have the venue and DJ discussions to have; I’ll touch base with the photographer, mariachi band, hair/makeup artist and DOC before the big day. The food for the family get-together has been ordered. My wedding projects are more or less done and I am definitely looking forward to leaving town. The wedding isn’t a vacation, but it sure beats D.C. in August.
However, after the wedding? An intense job hunt coupled with a trip out West before we plan our honeymoon are in order.
