A Letter to the Parents in My Circle
2009 September 10
Dear friends and colleagues with kids:
I still don’t care about your kids. If you could refrain from standing in my cube for half an hour to discuss your kids’ hygiene habits, I would really fucking appreciate it.
And the kicker? I’m not even a part of the conversation after a certain point. You can compare your kids’ habits elsewhere, no? I have better things to do than to listen to this.
When I say I’m never having kids? That’s my cue for you guys to stop discussing this crap with me.
Love,
WordNerd.

There’s definitely an assumption that everyone loves kids and everyone is as fascinated by your kid as you are. Both, patently false.
Truer words were never posted.
