Before, Part IV: **Puffed-Out Cheeks**

**Puffed-Out Cheeks** was written shortly after my first visit to IP in D.C., a city I did not want to name until I had the fortune to move here. It provided a sense of purpose when IP and I had decided that we were done with the long-distance crap and, even though his position then was only for one year, it was time to be together if we wanted to make this work. Like all post-visit posts, the post is about how much I missed IP when I would leave him, and like all it included the signals and cues of our relationship that only we understand. And, in the case of puffed-out cheeks (now poofed-out cheeks), means something very different these days.
